We gotta take our caps off to these gorgeous mushroom vases! Hand sculpted and made with a white stoneware clay produced locally in Sheffield, MA. The glazes are iron lustre with oatmeal over top which when combined and fired to over 2,000 degrees causes the dripping effect and a diverse range of colors. The finale glaze firing causes the piece to be fully sealed and waterproof.
Each piece is unique, one-of-a-kind and natural variations in size, form, and color should be expected. All the glazes used are non-toxic.
Leah Moran of Earthbound Ceramics is a local ceramic artist from Great Barrington who combines the skill of wheel throwing with imaginative sculptural elements. Leah strives to create the illusion of life, growth, and movement through these ceramic vessels.
